Welcome to the IWW Health Workers website

2g_nupe_440.jpgThis year's pay offer for health workers was a miserly 2%. Because of their strong links with the Labour Party the partnership unions were unwilling to fight these pay cuts. It is not in the interest of paid and unelected TUC officials to fight our cause. Calling for a united and uncompromising response to health service job cuts would see them lose their positions of privilege and cosy spot on the lap of the government. Alongside this the trust bosses have seen their pay grow sharply.

IWW (Industrial Workers of the World) is an independent trade union that is not affiliated to any political party or group, and is not led by a paid bureaucracy. We believe we have nothing in common with the bosses and therefore we say no to partnership working.

If you want a union that is in touch with health workers' interests, then join Health Workers Industrial Union, a newly organising part of the IWW. We are a union for all workers from any part of health care which is genuinely run by the members - the people who do the job.

This is industrial democracy.

This website is under construction, so check back regularly for new updates. A union membership form will be online soon, but for more details on joining now, send us an email using the contact form.
